JG Pears is one of the UK's leading processors of animal by-products and food waste. Responsible for the infamous Cubley Death Stench that can be smelt around Penistone when the wind blows it over the town. Spent one afternoon checking for dead bodies it was so bad. Has improved recently tbf. Now also get occasional seaweed smell which could be bacteria being used to feed on waste. However, won’t be picnicking in the nearby fields anytime soon.
