Went into the showroom on a Friday. Gent in there said hello and that was it. I explained I need advise, told me to browse round the showroom. I explained I needed help gas or electric and no chimney, he was unhelpful, never around to give advice. Attitude was look around and get on with it, he had gone. I was the only person in the shop. He was nowhere to be seen, I was left in the showroom alone for at least 20 mins, then left decided this is ridiculous .I left feeling that was a total waste of time Went to another at Fireplace Company @ Coney few minutes away. Totally opposite. Helpful, gave advice, and spent time with me to choose my fire. I now have my fire. Not from this place. Looks like I fell lucky. First Impressions count, and so do the reviews

Really poor after sales service ! Purchased my Portway gas stove from this local company - Fault codes showing from beginning. Called to have checked and immediately passed onto manufacturer , despite purchasing from them . Manufacturer claimed they had not received guarantee , despite this being signed and dated by fitter from this company . Really shoddy treatment for a purchase in the region of £2,000 . Informed that they don’t have a gas fitter to check as he has now retired . No option left as so under statuary but to take to small claims court using the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Under these strict rules, any item you buy must be: If the product is not as described, fit for purpose or of satisfactory quality then you can ask for a full refund, a repair or a replacement of the product from the retailer not the manufacturer. I definitely would not recommend this company .

We required a new gas stove and arranged with Peak Fireplaces to remove our very old gas fire and surround and replace with a new brick chamber with fascia beam and York stone hearth. Peak Fireplaces provided the quote to carry out all the work. Robert, the gas fitter and his colleague arrived on the due date removing the old fireplace and installed the new one complete with new gas stove and chimney liner. Two days work. We are absolutely delighted with the outcome both for the for the stove and fireplace. We would have no hesitation in recommending Peak Fireplaces to anyone looking for a new fire /fireplace.

Peak Fireplaces have been excellent. Glen, in the showroom was really helpful without being at all pushy. He helped us to decide on exactly what style of fireplace we wanted and advised on the fire itself. When the chaps came to do the job, they found asbestos but We were not abandoned: John, the owner found us a company who removed the asbestos at a reasonable price. We live in a very old house so, when the chaps came to fit the new fireplace and fire they did not find it straightforward. However, they did not moan but just got on with it and made an excellent job. We couldn’t be more pleased with our beautiful new fire and fireplace.
