We could not recommend Phil enough! He had previously taken the wedding photos for a family member, which were beautiful. So when we got engaged we knew exactly who we wanted to take our photos! We were delighted with the pictures Phil took for us. They don’t just show what happened but also capture the happiness and fun we had. My stepmother is a retired photographer, so when I got engaged, I went straight to her to ask for wedding photographer recommendations. Without hesitation she said “Phil is the best of the best!”, and she wasn’t wrong! It was a slightly bumpy journey leading up to our wedding day (thanks COVID), but after a change of wedding date and 2+ year delay, our wedding weekend was finally here! The night before the wedding we invited Phil over to our house for dinner so that we could meet in person and he could get to know myself, my husband and both of our families. We shared a night of laughter and really got to know what a great person Phil is. On the day of the wedding, Phil snapped some pics of both the bridal party and the groomsmen. He put everyone to ease, telling everyone to pretend he wasn’t there. He got some fantastic candid shots of us both getting ready, as well as a couple of posed photographs (and didn’t seem phased by my large group of 9 loud bridesmaids all talking and laughing). During our ceremony Phil was so stealthy - we never even noticed he was there - but sure enough, when we got our pictures back a few weeks later, he had captured everything perfectly. We loved Phil’s candid, documentary style photography which is what drew us to his work, but he also got the “obligatory family shots”. We had predetermined by email who would be photographed, which I’m very thankful for, as it kept the day running smoothly. Phil had everyone laughing hysterically from behind the camera, and was quick to get the important shots which was so important on such a scorching summer’s day. Phil truly is an artist and helped us find some beautiful areas around our wedding venue to take pictures, and managed to grab myself and my husband at just the right time to shoot the two of us in the beautiful evening sunset. We absolutely recommend Phil to anyone looking for a talented and artistic photographer who will be sure to keep guests laughing whilst capturing your big day. He was stealthy when he needed to be, and had us in hysterical laughter at other points in the day. He truly captured how much fun all the guests were having, and we love looking back at our photographs and reliving the day. We can’t thank him enough for all of his hard work. Thanks to him, we have some beautiful shots to remember one of the best day’s of our life.

Where to start with PbArtWorks.... The pictures speak for themselves. I have known of Phil's work for years as he is a family friend, so there was no debate on who we would choose when looking for a photographer to capture our day. Our pictures are everything we wanted and more! Phil captured some beautiful moments with our family and friends that we will cherish forever. It was so amazing to view the candid pictures after our day, it made us both emotional. As for the ''artsy fartsy'' photos (as we call them); STUNNING. So many friends of mine have commented on the lighting... I think the mood captured within PBArtWorks photography is like no other I have seen. The hard part now is choosing 'just' a few to frame . Then there is Phil as a person... chilled, friendly, calming. One thing ALL of our friends told us before our wedding was that the pictures were the ''worst bit of the day''. Not for us, we actually both had such a fun time and it was down to Phil's presence. Thanks for making this such a nice, relaxed experience.
