Personally, I had a very bad experience with Paystream. I had a contract under IR35 which is considered straight forward. My employer was paying Paystream and then Paystream should have made deductions and pay me the remaining amount. However, once I started requesting some expenses which I was allowed under my contract everything became so confusing and complicated. I did not had appropriate instructions and I was talking to different personnel every time with out anyone actually have an answer. What happened? My contract was ended in November 2022, I submitted my expenses in December 2022, I started chasing my expenses as no payment was made in January 2023, and actually got paid on 6th April 2023!! This caused me issues with my current permanent job and my tax code, as I was actually got paid in the next tax year and HMRC continues deducting 50% from my current permanent salary. On top of that, Paystream, refused to provide me with my P45, requested before the end of the tax year which cause further issues. As of today I am still trying to sort out my tax code!
