I had the pleasure of being taught by Moni for 40 weeks. We initially started by doing zoom lessons, but later changed to in-person sessions as this was better due to the need for fitting and more hands-on demonstrations. Moni was very patient with me and explained things really well. Moni had me pad out my dressform to my size, and we then draped a basic bodice block from that. She showed me how to transfer this to a flat pattern and then we developed various styles from there. It was a very practical course as I would send Moni pictures of outfits I liked, and she would show me how to draft them. I intend to build a new wardrobe full of well fitting clothes for myself with my newfound skills. Under her guidance, I was able to create personalised bodice, trouser, coat and bustier blocks. I really liked the length of the course, as I had time to really absorb what Moni was teaching me. I would highly recommend this course to my friends, as I have learned a lot from Moni and the experience was amazing.

Moni is an excellent teacher with an incredible knowledge of design and pattern cutting. I am more on the beginner side of the sewing spectrum and with limited pattern hacking experience. After my 12 week one-to-ones, I've developed so many skills, learned so much and feel so much more confident! Moni was great to work with! The course material was tailored to me and I now have a bodice, sleeve and trouser block and have gained tons of experience with pattern cutting. I highly recommend working with Moni. You won't regret it!

I've been a long time fan of PCD's Instagram tutorials/ videos. When this kit came out, I was ecstatic. It does an excellent job of explaining the basics of pattern cutting: from getting your sloper dialed in to design line manipulation. Moni is a wizard at being able to visualize a three dimensional garment while working off a two dimensional pattern. I struggle w/ this still, but the kit and the practice garments from it are making that achievable. It's after experimenting with pattern manipulation - something that I've always been wary of doing - that you really begin to imagine the possibilities that exist with garment design and construction. So much fun! Really encourage anyone to jump in and give it a go!

This kit is something special. I have been successfully pattern cutting for many years and didn't think I needed any extra skills. I'm so glad I bought it as it has opened my eyes to a whole new avenue of pattern cutting. My designs were very structured and Moni has shown me how to add a fluidity to my pieces. This kit gives you the know how to create one off pieces that flow and gather and drape which in turn, allows your mind to open up to the possibilities of what can be achieved. The skills contained show you different design elements which can be translated to any design of your choice once you've mastered them. I'm so impressed. Thanks Moni for the extra elevation to my skills.
