    We visited here on the 28th March. We used a gift voucher for the afternoon tea. It was bitterly disappointing. Firstly the young lady that served us was far from friendly. I watched her serve the tables around us too and never once did she engage with her customers or even smile. Yet I noticed her laughing with her colleague as she checked her phone. She also wore leggings and they left no guessworkas the contoured her backside. I personally feel she was inappropriately dressed for serving afternoon tea !. The sandwiches were not delicate at all, the bread was cheap, the chicken was in lumps, the ham was covered in english mustard, (something not everyone likes). The scones were claggy and the cakes were a poor relection on what Patisserie Valerie can provide. Once we were served the staff made no contact with us to check we were ok. No mention of a tea top up. All in all we won't be rushing back.

    Nearly 20 minutes for 2 coffee and certainly not worth it, awful coffee. To add insult, there were only 4 other people in the cafe, all of who came after and had their drinks earlier. Won't use this one again. Staff not particularly polite nor interested.
