worst experience ive ever had in a place to eat- AVOID!! upon arriving we werent informed of any kitchen delay, so ordered and paid for food to our table. we WAITED 1 HOUR 15 MINUTES for lunch and then resorted to requesting a refund from the manager as there was no sign of our food ever arriving. staff did not keep us informed of our order or update us as to how long it will be, they didnt come over to us once despite knowing we were sitting there for that long. i saw the kitchen put out probably around 5 plates of food in the 1 hour 15 mins we were there. as well as this, this place is so dirty and the toilet has the cleanliness of a festival portaloo, it’s disgusting. absolutely APPALLINGLY SLOW service- AVOID this place, there’s plenty of other nice little cafes around the town centre to get lunch from!

(Translated by Google) We first stayed at the Valerie in London in the 1980's - first class. Poor in Canterbury, ancient cake counter with blind panes, cakes in the sun. The small cakes very expensive, a pity (Original) Wir waren das erste Mal in den 1980 im Valerie in London- first Class. Cleanliness is not high on the agenda here. We had to ask for our table to be cleaned after we were seated. The waiter said he wasn't sure how it had become dirty as no one had sat there today. This was at 14.30 in the afternoon, so can only assume it had not been cleaned since yesterday. We also had to take back a pot of Tea as the pot and milk jug were dirty.

Would have preferred to give 0 stars. Horrible service. Wait time was insane and it wasn't even crowded. Over 40 mins to get a latte and chocolate cake from the shed sounds ridiculous. Never again!
