Absolutely appalled at how our property purchase was dealt with. Cannot stress enough the extent to which Parry Cohen needs to be avoided. We were notified (by email) that the seller of the property had pulled out and no longer wanted to sell to us and given bogus excuses as to why. Despite us having had our offer accepted (and moving forward with surveys, solicitor & mortgage broker fees) parry cohen kept the property advertised on Rightmove without stating it was sold STC; therefore inviting further offers from potential buyers. This led to almost a week of back and forth, with Richard avoiding contact to let us know what was happening and when he finally did get in contact (via email again) it was to let us know that the buyer was standing firm on her decision to not sell to us. It is clear that in the 5 weeks that the property was left advertised they had received a higher offer from an alternative buyer that led to us being bumped literally days before we were due to exchange contracts. I urge anyone to avoid using this estate agent- they are incredibly dishonest and have left us stressed, frustrated and hundreds of pounds of pocket for the sake of their own greed. If you have the ability to go with an alternative agent I would strongly suggest you do so.
