    Very happy to take the money, and were very helpful in setting up the finance to do so. I’d recommend having a much more thorough look round your car and asking more questions than I did. Less than 3 days after purchasing, I ended up taking my car to a local dealer and having the fuel filter changed to stop a diesel leak. They also mentioned CarPlay in the advertisement video that I was sent, but the head unit was missing when I travelled 150 miles to test drive the car so I could not confirm if it worked or not. Then, when I picked the car up, CarPlay wasn’t active, and the suggestion was either ‘£50 at the market or pay us £350 to reactivate’. To date, still no resolution from them on this. Nice enough car, but I’m pleased to say I feel in safer hands with the local dealer. I don’t like leaving bad reviews (in fact, I think this is the first) but I was far from satisfied. If anyone from Parkway happens to read this, it’s nothing personal, and I’m quite happy for you to contact me to resolve my headache. Also - thanks to them for declining to supply a dog guard, this wasn’t part of the deal (although I did try. I always thought the ‘dealer’ tag meant that they would strike a deal!), the refusal meant I’ve made my own rather snazzy one instead for a lot less money than a proper one would have cost either of us. There are numerous similar poor reviews across AutoTrader that are fairly similar to this. Were it not ‘the right car’ (decent history and competitive price) I would have steered clear. No qualms about warranty so far though, since it’s been to my local VW franchise twice within a month for repairs which have been free on each occasion. My apologies if this looks like a rant or attack!
