Had a lovely 4 night stay at Fallbarrows! The accommodation was practically spotless on arrival (just a few little things like marks on cutlery that just needed another clean - but that was obviously from the previous visitors and not the staff/sites fault). Also, the site is so peaceful and quiet. You are right next to the lake, therefore the views are absolutely stunning. I really enjoyed just going for walks around the site. The on-site shop and restaurant were also great. The shop had a very good variety, and if it didn’t have what I needed, you’re only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Bowness, so it really couldn’t be any more convenient. My family had a meal in The Willows restaurant and were very happy with the food. However, they said they did have quite a big wait since there were only two members of staff and it was rather expensive compared to other places. Finally, the staff here were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. On arrival we struggled to find our accommodation so a staff member hopped in his van, told us to follow behind and drove us right to the door of our accommodation. I just thought this was a very lovely thing to do and a real credit to the entire place! Also, the staff are constantly busy. Everyday I’d go walking around and see them painting, tidying, planting flower beds! You can just tell they take a lot of pride in the site! Absolutely loved it here, highly recommend and would definitely return in the future!
