Very helpful and kind staff, we felt welcomed. Didn’t get any housekeeping, apperantly you need to ask for housekeeping in the morning.. The breakfast though is under average, I am glad I was not staying for a long time because the selection was very little. The room was dirty, had yellow stains (pee or coffee we will never know) inside the pillow, marks on the wall and white semen stains all over the floor. The pool was ok, nothing to special, the shower felt dirty but loved having spa, steam and pool in the hotel. Loved the outdoor seating area. Great location, only 10 min walk away from shopping area and metrolink Walkability: 10 min walk away from Manchester Arndale mall and metrolink

This hotel has brilliant staff, that simply want the best for it's guests. I stated here from 1st July until 2nd September. Unfortunately during my stay there was a change in the menu offering. The new menu is woefully inadequate in comparison to the previous one. When I spoke to members of the restaurant staff about this unfortunate change we were told "we told the higher ups this was a bad idea but we weren't listened to". It is unfortunate that a hotel in the city centre offers such a poor choice of food for its guests. This isn't a bad hotel by any means, however there are far superior options where the staff are treated better by their management. I had tried to order room service on a number of occasions during my lengthy stay, however none of the numbers provided by the hotel actially connected to anyone working in the restaurant. After speaking to someone on reception (after 3 attempts) I was charged £5 to bring the food to my room. It turned out significantly cheaper (and better) to just get an Ubereats delivery. The staff were exceptionally apologetic and told me the IT, phones and POS they are provided with are utterly sub-standard. The spa and gym offerings are very good, the staff knowledgeable and equipment clean. The bar area and roof terrace are immaculate. The staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are relatively high, however this is to be expected of a city centre location. I suspect this hotel caters less to overnight stays and more to business conferences/work outings for local businesses/companies. The rooms are below standard. The air conditioning works in some, however not in others. Some nights are spent listening to extremely loud guests whom insist on banging on every single door in the hallway en route to their own room during early hours of the morning. On one occasion my room was accessed by an employee of the hotel hiring early hours of the morning, she was apologetic however. To be fair I stayed in the hotel for over 9 weeks and this happened once. Overall not a particularly bad experience, good staff, good location, excellent bar, however let down by below standard menu offerings (through no fault of restaurant staff, I'd seen what brilliant food they were capable of producing prior to the menu change) and sub par management.
