I met Professor Paris Tekkis today and he was nothing but professional, charming, kind and honest. His aura makes you comfortable discussing the most awkward things. He takes a very holistic view and is sensitive to personal matters that could hinder recovery (post surgery). He was very transparent and gave me such comfort in the decision making process. Professor Tekkis performed a cæcal inversion on me in November 2014. At the time only 14 operations of this type had been done. He removed 2 Stage 3 tumours and much of my large intestine. He advised chemotherapy and I had a stoma for 5 months. After this he reversed my stoma and I returned slowly to normal life. He is an amazing surgeon and kind, considerate person. He also has a top anaesthetist working with him. I can’t speak highly enough of his professionalism and world class skill. I am still here to tell the tale and am totally in awe of this man to whom I owe my life.

I was referred to Prof Tekkis for an emergency operation following a diagnosis of bowel cancer and I will be eternally grateful for the exceptional treatment I received, both clinically and in terms of his manner and approach. I am in no doubt that if it wasn’t for his thorough and excellent treatment and expertise I would not be in the current state of health that I am.
