The dish we ordered is a feast for the senses. One of the best dishes we ordered on the menu is the scallop crab curry. The curry sauce is flavorful and has a nice kick of spice. The dry-aged sirloin steak is served with a rich and flavorful curry made with jaffna spiced peanuts and wagyu bone marrow. The celeriac is fermented in lunu-miris, a traditional Sri Lankan spice blend, which gives it a unique and delicious flavor. This dish is sure to please even the most discerning palate.

Given all the amazing reviews, we had high expectations but we were sorely disappointed, for the most part by the terrible service and temperature of dishes. The devilled prawns were super hot/tasty and very, very spicy (yay!) but the tomatoes/onions within the dish were fridge cold, thus making the sauce cold too. The aubergine/jaggery dish was supposed to be room temperature but was also fridge cold. The £20 sirloin steak with curry was a tiny slab of overcooked cold/grey meat with a sweet sauce on the side. The roti was absolutely lovely/light/crisp and piping hot (finally!) as was the dry fried minced chicken but by this point we were so disappointed we left the rest of the food. Service had been attentive to start - overly so, rushing us to order 3-4 times, so we'd be in/out within the 80min timeslot. Once our order was taken we were totally ignored. The closest staff member (1-2 metres from us, behind the counter) saw the food arrive and it was clear we were having issues/were disappointed. He managed to avoid offering any assistance despite us trying to make eye contact/get his attention. Once we’d given up he removed the half full dishes without comment or concern. The couple next to us returned a couple of dishes and clearly didn’t enjoy the dishes they kept, leaving much of their food too. They recommended another Sri Lankan restaurant, not too far away, which we hope to try. The cocktails were nice but the rest was a very expensive mistake.

Great food but pushed through like a production line. Could not arrive 5 mins early and so stayed outside on pavement and then told repeatedly about need to give up table at 9.15pm (105 mins later) so no chance for coffee/tea etc. I understand the need for second sittings but this is just a rush and not enjoyable. I am sure they will make a lot of money but it will be an alright experience, not good and never great. Overall guys you have great potential but its and expensive café.

Blah, Hoppers is better. So is Chettinad. Overpriced, tiny portions nestle in the gloom, blasted by intrusive music and witheringly surly service. Watch your soul drain away and your bank balance dwindle beneath the contemptuous gaze of servers who think it's such a chore to give you their precious time.

This place has gone downhill. The portion sizes have definitely reduced and not worth it for the price you pay. The food isn’t as tasty and satisfying as it used to be. We ordered the lamb infused roti, scallops, monkfish, hazelnut curry, steak and a few glasses of cocktails. The scallops were stale and burnt which tasted really off, the hazelnut curry is nice but tiny portion and the monkfish isn’t worth £25 for what you get. The lamb infused roti used to be my favourite but I couldn’t taste any hints of lamb this time. The steak was the standout meal of the day, this was nice and flavourful In addition to the disappointing meal we had, we felt rushed off our feet. We sat by the bar this time and the waiters kept watch over us which was extremely uncomfortable, and as soon as we were done with our meal, we got the receipt and a signal to pay and get out. We spent over including food & cocktails and it was underwhelming to say the least. I’ve been to Paradise a couple of times and have recommended to friends and family, but sadly I won’t be returning anytime soon.
