Meal was okay but could have done with some more GF swap outs, as ended up having chicken and veg as there was no alternative to chips that are fried in the same oil as non gf products. Which made my food very expensive for what it was . Great singer, was a bit too loud however as you couldn't have a conversation when he was preforming. Dietary restrictions: Not many Gluten Free and dairy free options.

My friend suggested this restaurant for dinner which I would probably not have gone to due to the blingy decor as I thought it was for young groups of people out on the town but I'm so glad she suggested it. The food was really excellent. I had beef stroganoff for mains and was suprised that there was no rice available so chose the chips. Good choice, they were delicious! My friend had seabass which was presented so beautifully and it tasted great too. The only let down I felt was the desserts. Didn't look made in house which was a pity. Yasmin who looked after us, a Geordie lass, was super friendly and nothing too much trouble. Live music very loud at back of restaurant so would choose to sit at front when returning. Good luck guys, you really do deserve to succeed

Was really amazed at the quality of food for a lunch menu. Portions were generous and the food was well spiced and hot. Would highly recommend especially for lunch. Amazing decor and friendly helpful staff. Wonderful

Nice atmosphere. live music was , surprisingly, a really nice touch. Cocktails were very nice, well presented. Starters all looked the same with the same sauce and the salad was dry and limp. Having been warned the burgers were not good I went for a seafood pasta. If I'd have cooked that at home I'd have slid it straight in the bin. Pasta was over cooked, the sauce was like a tin of chopped tomatoes, no flavour at all and the seafood was clearly frozen. Didn't bother with dessert. I will say, overall it was a nice night but the food, for me, was a massive let down and at nearly £200 for four I'd expect better (although that did include 2 bottle of wine which were very nice). I ALWAYS tip in restaurants. Not last night

Oh my goodness! The decor wouldn't be out of place in London, or Brentwood, the home of TOWIE, but it's very different from anything else you'll find in the little old town of Maldon. I visited on a weekday lunchtime, and my friend and I were the only ones in there for the first hour. It's full of gold, bling, and plush red velvet! We had a lunch deal of £10.95 for 2 courses. The food was excellent, as was the service. The drinks, though, are pricey. We looked at going for an evening meal with a group of friends but, unfortunately, the evening menu was too expensive. It's definitely worth a visit if you fancy good food in an 'interesting' setting. Parking: Parking very close by in Butt Lane car park.
