Where do I start…?! Right from my very first enquiry I knew there was something different about Paintology (Callum)… I submitted details of my project and Callum responded the very same day and subsequently arranged to pop round to quote us within the same week. Callum is not your stereotypical ‘tradesman’ - he is genuinely interested and keen to provide a thorough job, not a quick fix - he clearly loves his job! We were so impressed with him that we didn’t find the need to look for any other quotes and booked him instantly. Right from the off he was punctual, courteous and respectful to our needs (we have a dog so requested that the front gate is closed each time - this is one of many examples!). He actually listens and genuinely takes pride in his work. The level of detail he provided was jaw-dropping. Gone are the days of a tin of paint and a couple of brushes! Callum has a huge array of tools at his disposal. From dust extraction to mechanical sanding (which gave an amazing finish prior to painting!), not to mention the quality of paint he uses. He is clean and tidy and never failed to tidy up each day before leaving - even washing up his mug when we have a dishwasher!! From painting to wallpapering, to filling, smoothing and straightening, everything was done with care and what we have been left with is nothing short of perfection. We can’t thank Callum enough! The services he provided are second to none and we would not hesitate to recommend him to, well, everyone!! So glad we have found Callum as we have many more projects for him to undertake. Special mention to Bayley, his apprentice. Bayley has only been working with Callum for a short period but has clearly picked the job up well. We had previously always done our own painting so we were a little hesitant about investing in a professional job. We are absolutely delighted that we chose Callum to paint our rooms. He is extremely thorough and dedicated to achieving the best result he possibly can. We had one wall in particular that was full of holes, dodgy plaster and bits of rubbish filler. Callum worked really hard to get it smooth before painting and now it looks perfect, you would never know it was such a mess before. We have always been very fussy with the finish that we get. As we feel that preparation of the walls is the key to getting the best possible finish. We had a lounge that we were considering getting plastered. But the finish that Callum achieved was beyond our expectations. What you are paying for is ensuring that the surfaces are prepared thoroughly. Using the best possible materials and equipment. Yes the labour is more expensive, however we for once are happy with the finish and will use Callum again. We would encourage you to talk to Callum about the process and materials used. If anyone wants a job done properly, book Callum at Paintology. I never knew how much prep work went into painting but the end result definitely shows how doing a job properly gets great results.
