There's around 4 Chiense Restuarants I Oxford I love, this is one of them, Chinese food, what's good and what's not, the quality and how you rate it is often subject, There's a lot of variation tending on the restaurants approach too, modern, traditional, a mix , does it focus on a style or region..having said that I think this place is in the top 4 for me anyway and hey its been there forever so... I am never disappointed, There's a lot in Oxford I would say are very average and you may well disagree but in terms of Paddy's I rate it.

You wouldn’t notice it from the outside but it’s a secret gem! Good atmosphere - the quiet music and decorations. Most importantly food served hot, generous portions and very delicious. My personal favourite - crispy lamb hot and spicy vermicelli soup (on the photo) Other recommendations - sizzling beef, mapo tofu, milk tea and hot pot. If you like Chinese food, spicy food or just want to try something different - visit this place

Enjoyed a lovely meal with a few friends last night. The service was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. With the exception on one unidentified dish the food was fantastic. As a real bonus my friends bet me £50 that i wouldn't eat the entire unidentified dish of onion and hot salty snot. I'm pleased to report that I'm now £50 richer. The table has a spinning center, thought that was a nice touch.

Very disappointed with my visit on 16th October 2021. The restaurant looks fine and in the centre Oxford. Locks in lady’s toilet were broken. The food wasn’t authentic Cantonese dimsum at all. I ordered 3 dimsum but none of these taste good. I came here because the nice photos of food and excellent reviews, but these reviews and phots seems out of date .

Was here recently for its steamboat hotpot. Pros: -The fish balls, shrimp and calamari were good. -Staff were nice. Cons: -Soup was extremely salty even after adding lots of water. -The beef and pork were in stark contrast to the restaurant’s adverts. They were shredded to a point that the sight of them was revolting. -Choices were a bit too little. -Radish was bitter. Price was quite cheap (£18) but I would rather pay more for better quality. Will not visit again.
