Noteworthy details: The hotel is very old, and old fashioned. However the rooms are clean, the staff are very friendly and can do a lot for you. We went and they were not serving any food and with the pub being in the middle of no where it was very disappointing. They are also not very flexible. But overall the staff members where lovely and the views where beautiful with clean rooms so 5/10

Nightmare!!! Prior to our stay I was contacted a number of times by OYO from 2 weeks prior to our stay looking for payment despite the booking terms being 3 days before. The call centre agents kept saying they had tried the card unsuccessfully which was false and numerous times sent a payment link. Everything pointed to a potential scam so I ignored them and payment was successfully taken from my card automatically as and when it should have been! Arrived at the hotel at 5.45pm to a locked door with a number to call. The numbers provided were a mobile, that was switched off, and a recorded message which also clicked off when finished so we were unable to speak to anyone. After walking around the property for 20 minutes knocking on fire exit doors and looking through windows we headed into town for dinner and decided to try again later. We returned to the hotel around 9pm at which point there was someone sat at reception. No apology for being unable to check in and very blasé about the whole thing. Checked in and found our room. The rooms are basic and need updating but are clean. The walls are paper thin and the beds extremely uncomfortable so we got very little sleep that night. We were booked in for 2 nights but the whole experience led us to check out the next day and head home. There was no interest from the reception staff when we handed back the key and said we were checking out early. The location of the hotel is beautiful but this is the only thing it has going for it! Avoid at all costs.

We've stayed in Oyo White Horse hotel for a couple of days as it was a perfect location to reach Sutton Bank. We really enjoyed how friendly and cosy it was, no problems at all, quiet and peaceful and we had a lovely view as well. Also really warm which was perfect especially after our long hike.
