We had a new problem each day, starting when they came to fetch us at the wrong airport terminal. Well, it may happen. But then, afternoon visits suddenly called off, oyster cards continually expiring (and students having to top them up themselves and not always being refunded), and such, including being forced to leave one hour earlier than established on the last day. But the biggest problem was the host families: while we two teachers were with decent, clean people, most of our 22 students had to bear with filth, chaos, people ignoring them, poor food, ridiculous packed lunches and (no kidding) issues like not enough chairs to sit on when having dinner. And the host families complaining and lying to our face about their "cleanliness". Really embarrassing.
