I’ve had a jacuzzi hot tub for around 18 months now. I don’t regret buying a hot tub but when I got one I thought jacuzzi would at least be a reliable brand to go with. I thought by paying for a ‘premium’ brand I would get a higher level of quality and with that, some longevity to the purchase. How wrong I was! Seems I can’t go a month without it needing some repair. So far I’ve had the 3 cup holders crack twice, each. The jets have stopped working at various intervals. The spinning jets have stopped spinning. The filter cover arrived loose and despite an engineer visit to fix, it still wants to shake loose from the movement of water when in use. The brackets to hold the cover on arrived covered in excess glue. There is still glue in one of the drain filters. One of the motors has already started to get a lot louder. Sometimes it’ll turn off the jets a few seconds after you turn them on. And I’m probably forgetting a few other issues. I’ve tried to call Leeds jacuzzi but their number takes you to an automated message which repeats every 5-10 seconds for 15 minutes and then cuts you off. I’ve raised this with the site and they just seem confused as to why it might do that. But it still does that. It’s quite easy to check. Just call the number and see. I’ve resorted to emailing the customer service and they’ve resorted to not replying to my concerns. I’ve waited in today, taking half a day off work to be in for an engineer visit which took almost 2 months wait from the time it was scheduled in. But half an hour after the agreed arrival time I was told the engineer is off sick and so the visit will be rescheduled. Not exactly the premium experience you might expect from a brand which claims to be just that. If I could go back in time I certainly wouldn’t buy a jacuzzi hot tub again.

Very poor after sales service continually changing service dates and using brexit as the default excuse every time they can’t meet a commitment . Before we had the hot tub delivered a surveyor came out measured up the area where our old hot tub was in situ and said the new one would fit then surprise surprise when it arrived it didn’t so the lads on the day had to bodge it because unsurprisingly the surveyor wasn’t responding to messages or phone calls . We spent a lot of money yet feel the service delivered has been poor .

Decided to go for a Jacuzzi rather than cheaper makes as we wanted a hot tub that would last for years and we would have an excellent buying experience, sadly this was not the case. Ordered on the 15th Aug 21 and was told we would have delivery middle of September and this was written on the invoice, sent off pictures of access to our property for the installers within a couple of days of our order. Started to panic a bit to find an electrician to complete the wiring as it was the beginning of September and we didn't want to delay the installation so we had to pay over the odds to have an electrician come and wire everything up so we were ready for installation, sent off certificate on the 2nd September and then heard nothing so around 15th of September we rang the Leeds showroom and were told we needed to call head office in Hull as they didn't deal with that side of the business. Called Hull branch to be told our hot tub wasn't in production yet and the September date we had been given was a build date and not an installation date, my partner then called for an update on the 28th September to be told it was being built now. Rang again on the 13th October to be told they couldn't find our order and they didn't know if our hot tub was in production yet so they would email Jacuzzi direct to find out what was going on, no response from anyone for 5 days so called again with the response that they were still waiting to hear from Jacuzzi so i asked for a manager to call us as this was getting ridiculous and also we couldn't get our deposit back even though they had missed the delivery that was clearly stated on the invoice, first time ever we had a call back from them the next day to say our hot tub would be delivered on the 4th of November. the hot tub did turn up on the 4th of November and Adam and Ben did an excellent job of making sure we were happy with where the hot tub was placed and everything to do with the installation and operation of the hot tub. Not looking forward to anything going wrong as im not sure we have any confidence left in this business but time will tell and if we do decide to upgrade or replace our hot tub we will definitely take our business elsewhere.

Dealing with Outdoor Living is BY FAR the worst customer service experience I have ever had. The joys of purchasing a new hot tub with no problems naturally gets a great review, the installation guys are brilliant and the product, a Jacuzzi should be a dream purchase. It is when things go wrong you find out what your custom really means to a company. Hence I would recommend anyone who doesn’t want the stress I have had, STAY AWAY from this company. So let’s begin with the list of a product not even 1 year old. I purchased a premium Jacuzzi J-485 for circa. £12,500 delivered October 2020: Delivered with a smashed side panel. Headrest dropped off due to a manufacturing problem. Waterfall stopped working. Excessive biofilm contamination reported. 2nd Headrest dropped off due to a manufacturing problem. Random water jet on and off whilst in the hot tub. Waterfall valve came off. Water jets rusting. Excessive biofilm contamination reported. Sound system failed. Random not relevant hot tub health email warning notifications. Lighting across hot tub failed. Function panel failed. Second sound system failed. Excessive bio-film reported. Second waterfall failed. Massive biofilm attack. External water release value failed. On top of these issues a brief summary of other associated frustrations: Both myself and my 9 year old daughter have caught ourself on the sharpe broken panel. Multiple emails not responded to. Multiple phone calls not returned. Massive water costs associated with filling and refilling the hot tub draining with the above issues. Delays in Outdoor living not attending service and warranty call-outs. My estimate is £2,000 spent with company on consumables i.e. filters, chemicals etc. My time wasted on this epic experience dealing with issue after issue, chasing, being ignored etc. etc. The, what feels like an endless list of product failings still left unaddressed, there was no sight of a resolution. I think part of my issue is knowing that Outdoor Living have continued to take orders and deliver hot tubs to other new paying customers without looking after the customers who have already paid them and taken delivery. I cannot imagine Audi delivering a car with a smashed front wing and 10 months on still not dealing with the issue. Of course the wonderful excuse of Covid and supply chain issues prevailed, really? So how did you keep supplying hot tubs to new customers and have probably your best ever year. Greed spring to mind. Having lost patience and with no confidence in my purchase ever being repaired to an acceptable standard, I have requested a replacement. The replacement was approved with a delivery date of sometime in August 2021. I then had a massive biofilm attack for which I was not prepared to waste yet more filters, chemicals and water. I asked them to remove the hot tub from my property which it was 2 weeks later. The installers were shocked with the levels of biofilm. I have done everything recommended in terms of care, I have previously owned a Dimension One hot tub for the last 20 years with no issues. I am not a novice. We used the expensive O Care water treatment product with Chlorine slow release tablets, we changed and wash our filters weekly. Water regularly tested for pH and other levels with all associated chemicals used as needed. Before I went on holiday I was told it would be an estimated 3 months before a new hot tub could be delivered. I called on 2 occasions and emailed to say this is not good enough, I now want my money back. No response! As I return from holiday my battle begins and I will have no alternative but to seek Trading Standards support. The company had a bumper year due to Covid and the owners recently sold the company and took their very handsome payout, Paul one of the owners remains in the company but clearly doesn’t care about the customers who help line his pocket. What more can I say, we can celebrate the highs, but it’s far more moral to really care about the lows. Shame on you Outdoor Living!
