Spent months waiting to hear back from them, spoke with one therapist, Sharlene for 30 seconds who told me she only works 1 day a week (lucky for some? Not exactly dedication) she told me she was the only person in the whole company that did the specific therapy I needed, I was directed to approach Our Roots by the QE Psychiatric Nurses due to the fact I needed a specific therapy to help with my trauma. The fact that they only have 1 therapist who only works 1 day did not fill me with confidence, and I feel that the QE nurses should be told thatOir Roots clearly doesn't have the capacity to help people. The therapist was pretty short and quite unfriendly on the phone, but I thought maybe she'll be better when the therapy begins? Sharlene told me she would call me for my pre assessment, she was inflexible on her availability to do this. On the day she was supposed to call I tried to pick up her call but it cut off as Igot to it. She left a voicemail saying she would try again, no second call was made. I tried to call the office number but had no reply. I recieved a very blunt unfriendly email from Sharlene several days later (meanwhile I had been attempting to call the office, and was told Sharlene would be in touch) and she told me over email I had to call the office to confirm I wanted to continue the therapy. I attempting to call several times, I also emailed Sharlene back explaining I had tried to pick up her call, and also I never recieved a second call... I also requested in the email that I would please like to continue as I very much need this therapy, and I was running out of time and options. She ignored this email. I eventually got through to the office who said they would let Sharlene know I wished to continue, and that she would be in contact. ...... that was over two weeks ago. This company doesn't seem to care about people's needs at all, and this therapist was very unprofessional and did not make me feel safe or supported.
