We have passed this place many times and have always meant to give it a try. This time we were in the area after 12pm so we pulled in. Great chat with the staff who are really knowlegeable about fish, food, cooking, and fish and chip shops in general. We learnt a lot. We looked forward to trying fish and chips cooked traditionally in beef dripping as we know in terms of flavour and texture, nothing beats this and its a mark of all the best places. Its healthier than Cooking oils too, as it is not a 'converted' machine oil. You can pay a fortune in trendy restraunts for this Well worth the wait for the just cooked produce, and all the best food is never instant. Pricing is good for the amazing quality and variety. Sat outside in the sunshine, and forgot the world as we ate 10/10. Absolutly delicious, we will be back soon to try the rest of the menu!

Awful, tried this place for the first time recently, chips dry an tasteless many were black, pastry dry and hard , very over priced was expecting so much better , never again, dont waste your money. Hubby left a review also and was replied to very rudely, his review was after he had eaten some of the meal, but was publicly called a lier, so very rude and unprofessional This is our true experience of this place Owner really should except people opinions on their experiences REPLY Firstly no one has made false accusations, food just simply was not good! Like i have said the review was made AFTER we tried the food, cant review food that has not yet been tasted, please read the review . huband phoned because he thought you had sent the wrong size fish, this was BEFORE he tried the food but was publicly called a lier!!! Please respect peoples reviews with dignity and use it to better your customer service, this it what reviews are there for, i have no reason to make up bad reviews as i gain nothing from it, only to tell other people of my personal experience, i see from other bad reviews that you become very argumentative with the customers, which you have now done with me, this is public and will only draw peoples attention to the review even more, you are very rude and reviews are our personal opinion and experience, and you have made a huge issue of it ,
