Dr Freeman and friends need to get their receptionists to answer the telephones. I've been on hold for 20 minutes as caller number 2 in the queue before they cut me off. Tried again for 15 minutes and still caller number 2.

I am constantly being asked to come to this surgery instead of Swillington, so have to pay to taxi down every time I need to be seen and this has been frequent with doctors not taking my symptoms seriously, fobbing me off to let symptoms worsen with time, before I've had to pester them to see me at the surgery again for the same problem. Swillington needs at least some of the triumvirate's resource even if on a rota basis, as it's just not feasible to keep it open without doctors there. As someone with multiple health issues, I moved to the area confident in the knowledge I would finally have a surgery within walking distance. Noone told me it was essentially defunct and it should be advertised on the website that it has no doctors. So much for integrated care. I've had mixed experiences with Oulton receptionists who, when you finally get through to them, are often all too keen to ignore what I've said, ask me to hang up, and fill out an e consult only to be called back again later (even when I've already attempted an e consult unsuccessfully). Looking at other reviews, it's clearly not just an individual issue. Really not sure what it's going to take for patient complaints to be taken seriously and for positive change to be made.
