This historic old racecourse site is a nice place to walk with or without dogs. A free car park adjoins the site. Lots of trees and heath like grasslands and the potential for a much longer walk if you head in to the heavily wooded area as the path there connects with others. Peaceful most of the time, it is popular so can get people busy. Beautiful display of bluebells through the woods at that time of the year. Mainly flat terrain but it can get very muddy. Going back to walking the dog there are dog mess bins. If you have a dog the downside is that in parts the road is nearby so you need to keep an eye on your dog to prevent a potential accident.
