came here for the first time today to try a few snacks and drinks, thought a place like this would have welcoming and friendly staff but i left feeling very judged and uncomfortable, thought i was just overthinking things after telling my friend how i felt but after seeing some other reviews i can see i’m definitely not the only one who found the staff to be very unfriendly and just rude for no reason, the lady who served me didn’t smile once or say a word to me even though i was friendly and polite to her. she made me feel as if i’d done something wrong or shouldn’t be there, the shop itself is very nice and i will revisit to try out more foods but honestly not looking forward to it if i’m going to receive the same attitude from staff members as i did this time. don’t like to assume i do believe it’s a racial thing. another thing is they start mopping floors about 20-30 mins before the advertised closing time and with it being quite a small shop it is practically impossible to shop around because you are in someones way, and the whole time i was upstairs i just felt like i was inconveniencing the lady who was trying to mop but as someone who works in customer service, why not just wait till customers have left till you start mopping? either advertise for closing at 8:30 or wait for customers to have left, may i add it was still quite busy with at least 7-8 customers at this point. also the wet stairs are a tripping hazard? the customer service in this place is non existent, they don’t care about their customers at all and i was just made to feel like i shouldn’t be there from start to finish. overall lovely shop but staff need to sort their attitude out and realise that they are obviously going to attract people of all races (especially when you are playing kpop and sell albums knowing how popular it has become in the west) and need to treat everyone equally and make everyone feel welcome.
