I'd happily recommend Orriss Bookbinders to anyone in need of book repairs. Linda is very talented and restored a sentimental family novel belonging to my Grandmother. The work was finished to a high standard and the turn around was prompt. I was also kept updated at every stage of the process. I'm very satisfied with my 'new' book.

A set of three books that belonged to my great grandfather have been beautifully restored. At 116 years old, the books were looking their age with one of them in particular in a very poor state. The restoration work is fantastic and they look amazing. I’m absolutely delighted with them. Thank you so much.

I am delighted to recommend Orriss Bookbinders to anyone in need of an experienced, technically capable, artistically talented bookbinder. The customer service is excellent, the pricing very competitive, and the technical and artistic expertise invariably very impressive. Over the course of several years, my wife and I have each entrusted a range of different bookbinding tasks to the company. Each task has posed different technical and/or artistic challenges, and Orriss Bookbinders has employed an impressive range of different materials and techniques to meet them. The solander box for my copy of "The World Crisis" was designed and made in very short order and to a wonderfully high standard by Linda. She sat down with me and took me through a range of different options, setting out the price, benefits, and drawbacks of each one in a clear, professional, but easy to understand manner. The "My Fun to Cook Book" is a treasured possession of my wife's. She's had it since she was a little girl, and Linda received it in what we might politely call a "much loved" condition. In other words, it was very grubby in places and starting to fall to bits. Linda returned it to us not long after in the bookbinder's version of a "much loved" condition - the pages have been lovingly cleaned, the spine repaired, and the front cover beautifully repaired. My wife is delighted with it! The "Good Old Fashioned Puddings" cookbook was a present to my wife. It was a brand new book for which Linda produced both a new cover design and a beautiful but very practical new binding and cover. My wife is again delighted with it, and we are both certain that she will enjoy many happy years' service from it.

I wanted to restore an old Family Bible, dated 1912, found recently in our loft. It had a detached front cover, as well as some red rot. As a result of a Google search, I approached Linda Orriss of Orriss Bookbinders to see what could be done. Linda agreed to do what she could, and when she contacted me to say it was ready some 6 weeks later, as agreed, I was so thrilled with her work, and the Bible can now sit proudly on display on a bookshelf. She also gave some knowledgeable advice on how to prevent the red rot from spreading as it cannot be eradicated. All in all, a fabulous job by someone who obviously loves books, and loves what she does.
