Wes, Lorraine and their team at Omrod's exceeded our expectations of what was possible in restoring and finishing our parquet floor which was in a poor condition. I suspect it looks better now than it did when first installed in the 1960s. The grain of every piece of wood has been brought out. These guys are professionals who know everything there is to know about parquet floors. Really good value for money given the care, attention and expertise to our floor. Communication is always great with this team. We had a traditional oiled oak floor which was well worn and gone a little orangey. We opted for a grey oiled finish whilst we upgraded and painted our kitchen. Wes provided a good range of samples to help us decide. To be honest, it did take me a little time to adjust to how different it looked, but we have since had so many compliments and I do absolutely love it. Lorraine and Wes are very professional- tidy, clean, polite and work really hard. We needed some aftercare and advice and Lorraine and Wes are readily available to help. Lorraine and Wes came out initially just to do a consultation to look at our oak parquet floor that had lifted up in some areas, to see why it had happened and if it could be rectified. They diagnosed the issue and gave us clear, honest advice about what needed to be done, as well as prompt quotes so that we could make a decision. We got chose them to do the work (sub floor prep and fitting/sanding/oiling of new oak parquet) and could not be happier with the result. Wes and John worked very hard and took all the time that was needed to get the job right - above and beyond what I would expect in terms of the hours they put in.
