My 7 year old son started at origin after my brother recommended it to me. I signed up to ensure you he could be strong if he was bullied. What he gets from Origin is so much more. They teach the children real life skills, they are taught kindness, respect for others and so much more. The instructor Josh is outstanding with all the children. He teaches in a way which the children understand and also they gain confidence. You also get the added tool of the online demonstrations. You are given a log in when you join and you can practice the techniques at home. We started when things started to open up after covid. I have felt the safety of all the members has always been at the forefront of how the club is run. Meg and Josh run an outstanding and safe place for children to learn and develop. Thank you both for creating a safe, educational and fun environment for all the children.

Origin Gracie Jiu-Jitsu has great facilities and a fantastic head instructor. My wife, our two kids and I all love being part of the Origin Gracie Jiu-Jitsu family. Easy to book classes, great communication about seminars and other information. We waited over a year to join Origin Gracie Jiu-Jitsu as they were closed during the covid pandemic and remained closed until government guidelines allowed them to open. Once they did re-open under strict covid rules, we all joined immediately. I have been part of other Jiu jitsu classes and schools in the past and the pricing model used by Origin Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is perfectly in line with these other schools. Very good value for money. We also love the structure of the classes and the attention to our development. We can appreciate that a few classes have been cancelled due to Covid, which is just a fact of the current situation and the world we live in. Since this is a close contact sport, such things are inevitable. However, this has not impacted our development at all. Joining up was made so easy with great communication. Once we read and signed the waivers and completed the registration ourselves online. We were then able to make our class bookings. This was great because we could plan ahead. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the team at Origin Gracie Jiu-Jitsu for what they offer our family, and we look forward to many years of learning.

I have just completed my free 10-day trial at Origin Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. The facility is conveniently located a short drive off of the motorway and has plenty of free parking. Inside it is modern and spacious with a large clean mat offering a scenic view, there is a plenty of bag space, a private changing area and M / F Toilets. On my first day Josh, the head instructor, sat with me and took the time to get to know me, he took an interest in what I was looking to get out of Jiu-Jitsu. I could see from the beginning that he was going to be a fantastic Teacher and I wasn’t wrong! Josh explains and demonstrates techniques in a fun and effective way that keeps me fully engaged without an information overload. He is always weaving into drills offering his encouragement and expertise, his positivity and patience are second to none. Since starting I have been partnered with a number of different students, all of which have been as welcoming and supportive as the last, as a complete beginner it can feel intimidating at first to get yourself through the door but I assure you at Origin Gracie Jiu-Jitsu those feelings are unnecessary, you’ll be made to feel welcome and be supported from the very first step! Don’t make my mistake and procrastinate, my only regret is that I didn’t start sooner. Thank you Josh, Meg and the entire Origin family!
