FAQ

What types of animals do you rescue and care for?

At Orchard Farm Cattery, we specialize in rescuing and caring for cats. We provide a safe and comfortable environment for cats to recover from any health issues and receive the love and attention they need.

How do you prioritize rescue cases?

We prioritize rescue cases based on the urgency of the situation. If a cat is in immediate danger or requires urgent medical attention, we will make that case our top priority. We also take into consideration the cat's age, health condition, and any other special needs they may have.

What is your adoption process for animals in your care?

Our adoption process involves a thorough screening of potential adopters to ensure that the cat will be going to a loving and responsible home. We require an application form, a home visit, and an adoption fee. The cat will also be up-to-date on all necessary vaccinations and will have been spayed or neutered.

Do you offer any education or outreach programs for the community?

Yes, we offer educational programs and outreach events to promote responsible pet ownership and the importance of animal welfare. We also collaborate with other animal rescue organizations and participate in community events to raise awareness about our cause.

How can I support your organization and its mission?

You can support our organization and its mission by donating, volunteering, or adopting a cat from us. Your donations will help us provide essential care for the cats in our care, and volunteering your time will help us run our operations more efficiently. Adopting a cat from us not only gives a cat a loving home but also helps us rescue and care for more cats in need.

We recently left our cat with Orchard Farm whilst going away on holiday and couldn’t be happier. It was the first time we left him but we felt reassured every step of the way, with updates and pictures sent to us whilst we were away. We came back to a very happy cat who has settled back home seamlessly. It is clear how much the team cares about cats and the care they provide for them. A very special thank you to Jordan! We have already booked in for August and will definitely continue to use in future. Couldn’t recommend Orchard Farm Cattery enough.

Amazing experience, our cat Chester can find it hard to make friends and we were very worried about leaving him at the cattery as previously he has hated them. Thank you to the team at Orchard farm for looking after our Chester and making friends with him. It is all appreciated . Couldn't recommend this place enough!

Diane and her team at Orchard Farm Cattery are wonderful. Beautiful location and each cat room has more than enough space. Everything is provided and the whole environment was clean and pleasant. Having never used a cattery before, I was not sure what to expect and was apprehensive. Diane and her team could not have been more welcoming and reassuring. I received updates and pictures throughout my trip away and it was clear that my cat was being well looked after and loved. I have already booked a place for my holiday next year and I would 100% recommend this cattery.

Diane and Jordan were both amazing from the outset. I called to ask if they could take my newly diabetic cat Bugsy. He had lost a lot of weight and I had considered cancelling my holiday. However Diane was very reassuring and let me look around the Cattery the same day. She was very warm, honest and open giving me great confidence, that Bugsy would be happy there ( he had returned from another Cattery over the summer in quite a distressed state). Bugsy (who is a rescue cat) has never liked men. I suspect he had been kicked in the past. However he immediately took to Jordan, who knew exactly how to gain his trust and confidence. I couldn’t believe how he responded to Jordan within seconds of meeting him, allowing him to pick him up and stroke him. Bugsy allowed Jordan to give his insulin and seemed really happy when I picked him up. I think Bugsy had a super holiday himself. He enjoyed all the love and attention given to him and seemed reluctant to come home. After his time at the Cattery Bugsy is better at socialising. It is obvious that they all love cats and they are so well cared for. I would have no hesitation in putting him there again. Many thanks, Dr Jackie Impey
