An AMF Engineer came to my property to install a sprinkler system as required for my house renovation under Building Regs. I was not living on site at the time due to the scale of the renovation. Once he had completed his work we both left the property at the same time. The next morning, I arrived at the property to find a leak coming from the pipework that had been installed the previous day by their Engineer. The kitchen floor and roughly half of the open plan living room was covered by a layer of water. I alerted AMF Systems immediately of the leak and over a period of a month I made many calls to them, left voicemails, sent text messages and e-mails which were ignored. I eventually had to take legal action to recover the cost of the damages caused. It was an extremely upsetting and stressful time for my family and I. We had to deal with this situation during the run up to Christmas with no assistance or help from AMF Systems. It caused the renovation to be significantly delayed and meant we couldn’t move back in before Christmas as we originally planned.
