I signed up with Opus Education almost a year ago. Back then I was informed there would be lots of work no matter how many hours or days I could work.I’ve even referred a friend to Opus ( who has gotten lots of work from them) I have had two bookings.. Each time I’m approached with a job it’s hours I cannot do which is really disheartening because my hours are and have always been set since the beginning.At times Opus feels a bit disorganized and there have been some lack of communication.They keep opening office after office so I guess the recruiters must be earning well.I’m on the fence with giving Opus a high rate due to the above.

I worked with OPUS for nearly 8 months and had a wonderful experience working with them. My manager was Tom and he was a very proactive manager who always got me bookings and a very nice guy! I would recommend signing up to anyone who wants to work within education but work more to your own hours and it’s a great way to gain experience about what years groups you like to work with. OPUS are a very trustworthy recruitment company.

I have been working through Opus Education Agency as a supply teaching and nursery assistant for about year now. Not working for an agency before, I didn't know what to expect all. What I did know was that since lock down and being made redundant from my previous employment, I decided to go back to my first love - which was working with children. I had my NVQ levels 2 and 3 and many years of experience of both primary school and nursery settings. Living with Fibromyalgia ( which can be very debilitating in so many ways) being a supply TA is perfect! I can choose which days I work and if I am unable to work a particular shift, I don't feel so guilty as I did when working in a non agency setting. All the team at Opus are so easy to talk to and very supportive. They will keep me to areas that are close to me as possible and they go out of their way to give me the hours I want. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I usually have communication with John in the office but if he is not available to talk with, any of the other team members are equally as helpful. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Opus Education Recruitment to anyone who wishes to work for them or ask for their services... and I certainly have recommended Opus to several people in the past and will continue to do so. Opus have been brilliant to work with and have rarely left me without any jobs within the two years I have been with them. My agent Sian was always helpful and approachable and because of her I was able to get a full time position in my local primary. I would highly recommend Opus to anyone in Cornwall who is looking to do primary education supply be it long term or short term.
