I had LASIK here recently and went from a -6.5/-8.0 prescription to better than 20/20 in both eyes. Everyone at the clinic has been amazing, the consultation was far better than the others and I was treated like a patient first rather than a customer (unlike some others I went to), being able to talk to the surgeon after the initial consultation before having to commit was a big plus. All the staff I've dealt with were friendly, professional and helpful. The procedure was slick and over fast. And of course big shout out to the surgeon (Mehul Damani) who was great and has now given me perfect eyes after 20 years of wearing contacts/glasses.

I had my LASIK surgery today and Dr Ghassan Ayoubi and everyone at Optimax was friendly and professional. So far I had a great experience with them from start to finish. My first consultation was in central London where they examined my eyes I booked a consultation because I’m interested in eye laser surgery. Manish Ramyead was very helpful and knowledgeable. Alishba Daniyal at the reception was very helpful as well as she did most of my eye examinations. I had a very good experience at the clinic and I’m having another consultation with the surgeon over an online consultation. More info after surgery: I had my LASIK surgery today and Dr Ghassan Ayoubi and everyone at Optimax was friendly and professional. So far I had a great experience with them from start to finish. My first consultation was in central London where they examined my eyes with different machines and told me I was suitable for surgery (I was -3.75 / -3.50 and a tiny bit of astigmatism I think 0.25). Then I had a video call with Dr Ghassan Ayoubi via Zoom call. He is a very knowledgeable and kind person. This morning I arrived at 8:50AM and finished at 12:15PM. The actual surgery is only 15min. Very quick and don’t worry you don’t feel anything. After the surgery I could see better but my vision was a bit blurry/foggy. After a few hours post surgery My eyes were very watery and I keep crying (I did’t feel any pain but discomfort when my eyes were open). Now it’s 6PM my vision is almost not blurry/foggy at all. I have to put eye drops every 2h which they really help. Again, I don’t feel pain, it feels like I have something in my eyes when the effect of the eye drops disappears. Well, actually for some reason my right eye only keeps bothering me sometimes but it is normal… I mean I just had surgery after all. Tomorrow I have my post surgery appointment to make sure everything looks fine. 3 weeks post surgery; My vision is perfect. I stopped with the medical eye drops. I don’t have any discomfort. My eyes feel a lil bit dry sometimes so I’m using refreshing eye drops when I feel it’s necessary however my dry eyes are getting better day by bay. I know my surgeon told me to don’t exercise for 2 weeks but I actually started going to the gym 4 days after my surgery. I avoided any water or sweat going inside my eyes. I have another visit next month to make sure everything is fine. The doctors really are professional and after surgery I felt very well taken car of with multiple visits. Hope this post was helpful

All of the staff were incredibly friendly and responsive to all of my questions and the speed and effectiveness of the whole process was incredible! Would absolutely recommend Optimax to anyone considering laser eye surgery!

I got a surgery from here, but they left me in shambles after the surgery. The receptionist barely knows what is happening and left me sitting in the waiting room for hours without any aftercare after the surgery leaving me in pain - tearing up my eyes, unable to make my travel home. They discharged everyone but said forgot “me” -Only to check when I kept complaining multiple times- even then the receptionist asked me- what should she do to “me”. Felt ridiculously bamboozled by their attitude. Literally have to get back home crying - because of the pain in the eyes. Shambulous after care service for a private institution. Once they take your money, they don’t care how you feel. Similar thing kept happening every time I come here for the post appointments. Last time when I was 5 min late because of major traffic incident- they just cancelled the appointment without even consulting or checking with me. Imagine this when you have to travel 2 hours to get to this one appointment from the other side of london for a 5 min appointment- when you already said to them about the eye issues I was having and said it was an emergency situation.

Very poor customer service. Absolutely shocking behaviour from optician and the manager. Refused to accommodate a 7 minute delay in traffic, despite my commute time of 2 hours with a baby! Optician refused to let me wait for a later appointment, despite the waiting room being empty. Very poor standards for a private service. It seems once the payment has been made they feel that customer service is not necessary.

I had my lasik eye treatment with Dr Ayoubi today. It was incredible! The doctor talked me through everything that was happening, I started to feel light headed during surgery and he was very perceptive and let me take a break for a drink of water. The friendly receptionist, Cristian provided hot chocolates and refreshments and conversation to calm nerves. They also provide aftercare drops and detailed instructions on how to use them. I am absolutely overjoyed at how the procedure went! From my eyes being -4 and not being able to see without my glasses and being able to see so clearly now is such a blessing. Thank you so much to Optimax Finchley Road, Cristian and especially the skilled, Dr Ayoubi. Thank you thank you thank you!
