I went with Optical Express for a LASIK eye surgery. I couldn't be more satisfied! Pre-surgery I got a free appointment to see if I am a good candidate for it. After confirming I am suitable for LASIK, I booked a surgery date. On the day of the surgery I went through another test and was briefed on what would happen. The surgery itself was painless (although part of the procedure is uncomfortable). The anaesthesia helped numb my eyes. The surgery was very quick, I think I was at the theatre for 10 mins or less. I was able to go home immediately. Just remember to ask someone to drive you home as your eyes will be blurry especially in the first 24 hours. I was given paracetamol and antibiotic eye drops and was seeen again the next day to see if my eyes were doing well. After a month, I could confirm my vision is beyond 20-20! It has been life changing and definitely one of the best decisions I made.

Had my natural lenses replaced for variable focal lenses 4 years ago. After the operation and 11 months healing time I suffered all “possible” side effects. Once it was apparent that Optical Express could not fix the side effects they discharged me. Since then I’ve not heard from them, or been offered follow up appointments. 4 years on I’m learning to live with what they did to me. I would not recommend them.
