Very unwelcoming. Signs in front of the door by appointment only. Wanted to look at frames with the purpose to buy glasses as knew what I wanted having searched on the website . The lady at the store with a cold and unfriendly attitude not accommodating nor smiling and didn’t bother to ask what I needed. I have decided to leave the store and go to the competitor few steps away. Visited on 7 April 2023 13:00 Easter bank holiday weekend store was empty while the whole shopping centre was busing. I’ve ordered my spectacles from the competitor while I’ve been looked after and got answer to my questions.

My glasses broke while shopping at Lakeside. I popped into optical express to see they could do anything. 5 mins later muhamd came back having fixed them. He did not take any payment and could not have been anymore helpful. Thank you!

Eye test appointment 10:15 finally seen 10:45 then told to wait again for second part of test. Whole visit took just over an hour, normally 30 max at most Opticians. Place seemed disorganised to me, decided to take my business elsewhere for new lenses. The person who finally took me through the main eye test was efficient, it was just all the waiting in between, Guys you need to communicate with your customers, no one said a word to me about possible delays while I was there. A facemask, gel on arrival and social distancing all remain in place within the store, this had no reflection on my feedback above although I do think this was a little over the top considering we are now Nov 2022 not 2021.
