Visited today to return a damaged item that I purchased on Saturday. I didn’t see the fault when I purchased the item. The owners first reaction was to imply that I had damaged the item and customers who return items are a nuisance. She then she came out with the classic line “I have sold a lot of this range and not had any of these returned before”. Why do shopkeepers come out with this drivel it serves no purpose and just irritates me. I have been a customer here for several years but today was my last visit. This was a classic example of how not to deal with a customer. Especially as there where other customers present. A simple I am sorry, let’s sort it out was all that was needed. There is definitely a training requirement here.
