Booked over the phone called several times as no email was assured I would get an email on the day with key code guess what….no email no bed for the night what a let down….140 miles from home and looking for a bed for the night on a Saturday evening for birthday trip…service absolutely disgusting defeats the object of booking and makes a mockery of National trust grants

Well just had a breakfast here and I'm was very very disappointed. After 20min it came with a nice long blonde hair on it , so sent back ,said it had been changed, but as I know it was the same one that came back . The quality of the Lincolnshire sausage was no more than a fish shop one , hash browns well over cooked as was the bacon . Over all it was rubbish. As I was a chef for many years I know

Just stayed one night but wished it was longer. Room was lovely - well equipped, clean and bright. Breakfast was delicious and served by nice friendly staff.
