After visiting on Thursday evening both me and my wife realised exactly why this restaurant has a rating of 3.7. The restaurant has been created on a similar theme to renown places like Hakkasan so you have loudish music and low light and great cocktails. However, that's where the similarities stop, the food is average at best and the owners don't care as long as they get the footfall. The one plus point was that the cocktails were good, we were served by three different waitresses and two of them seemed very inexperienced. We ordered dumplings for starters and when they arrived they were nothing special and to be brutally honest they weren't probably as good as Wagamamas. We ordered Black Cod and Salmon for our mains accompanied with noodles and rice. The cod and salmon were a massive disappointment, the quality of the fish seemed low and it was clear they had not been marinated far in advance because the fish itself was tasteless and overcooked. No waitress checked with us on our thoughts on the food, we think the owners were sitting at the bar, they didn't seem to care either. So in summary if you want to go to take some pics for social media in a nice looking place then go for it....but don't expect much from the food and be prepared to overpay for food that isn't any better than Wagamamas. We should have paid more attention to the 3.7 rating on google!

Visited Oko for a family birthday. I have to be honest, the food was lovely and the young man who appeared to be new or unsure of himself was lovely too. However, there was a blonde woman on the day, maybe the supervisor who didn't seem to have the customer skills required for such an expensive experience. We weren't allowed to eat our very small cake after spending well over £300 with drinks included. My son recommended this place and was excited for all ten members of the family to go.. but the finish of the experience was very disappointing. Luckily we were offered packages to take the cake home after it was brought to the table with no knife or serviettes. After an overpayment of our bill at the end of the meal.. this man.. who had been hovering about the restaurant all evening came to question why we were asking for our money back 😳 and if we had actuallypaid the right amount... As if!!!😳😳 Not and never going back to this Oko place. Wouldn't recommend.
