This review is coming from someone who is a big fan of Japanese food and genuinely confused at how this place has such good reviews. It is really not good. Starters, we had Gyozas and soft shell crab karaage, both tasted average and sadly the highlight of the whole meal. Mains Tuna and Pork. The only issue here is recomending the rice and vedg with the mains is a rip off at 4 pounds each for some poor additional portions. Pork was bland with some very chewy parts and not even close to menu description. Do not get the cheesecake it is not a cheesecake. What we received was a greek yoghurt with some shop granola on top and mandarin slices. It was absolutely awful pudding, and the server even agreed when I told him he served a breakfast pot rather than a pudding. There are little issues we also had. Just asking for some water was also an additional charge, unfortunately. Service charge pre incuded on the bill is a slap in the face when you already feel ripped off. Giving yourself a nice big tip is also rude. Both me and my partner are so confused at how this place has such good reviews. We feel duped! Would not recommend.

We always receive brilliant service at Ogino. The food is fantastic - some of the best sushi we’ve tried. Good value for money considering the exceptional service and atmosphere. Well worth a visit for high quality Japanese cuisine.
