  I Had lens replacement surgery, I was nervous before but soon felt at ease with Dr Angunawela and his team, their calm professional and friendly approach from start to finish made this a very pleasant experience I cannot thank you all enough, I can see far more than expected now, you have changed my life! I would recommend Dr Angunawela 100% to anyone considering lens replacement. Dont hesitate as I did, my only regret is not having it done sooner! Thank you again to all the team

  I must honestly say I have had a wonderful experience. I really did feel like a superstar patient. Mr. Dr Romesh Angunawela is a world-class Dr not only is he a wonderful person! His knowledge is outstanding. He respects his patients and his patients certainly respect him!   Most importantly, this is a completely positive, live altering decision; one that shouldn't be made lightly and evidently it is of up most importance to have the surgery performed by the most professional, considerate and thorough surgeons around - Romesh was certainly all of that. My initial consultation was tentative at best, my sight in both eyes were +9.50 with right also having a strong astigmatism. I was effectively blind in the right eye and had limited vision in the left. I had been told by several companies and surgeons that my sight was beyond operable, though more likely they were avoiding a 'proper' job so to speak, which I could appreciate. Romesh was candid, but friendly and cautioned that, though he may be able to help, it would also be unlikely that I could have corrective surgery. He called back offering to get my sight close, but not completely to, 20-20 vision. I booked it in immediately, all pre and post operative care was outstanding; I look back at that decision as one of the most formative moments in my life, now rid of an essential, pervading anxiety of crippling lack of sight. Presumably those who are searching these reviews have similar, if less verbalised, concerns. My sight is just off 20-20, I can live comfortably without glasses, but have a pair purely for the old vicarious hipster reasons. Money is always a major deciding factor, but really there should be little argument - yes it is expensive, but then what is money exactly for? - Positive future opportunity. Simply put, it was entirely worth it. I consider myself very fortunate to have had such a successful outcome. Good luck.

  In Oct 2015, I consulted Mr. Angunawela to consider cross-linking procedure to manage my Keratoconus. Similar to my past consultations in previous 3 years with Mr. Angunawela, he provides very thorough and concise advice. He always discusses the pros and cons of each option allowing me to make an informed decision. I am impressed with Mr. Angunawela and his secretary’s organisation as they provide concise instructions for before, during and after the procedure. They are both helpful with answering all follow-up questions in relation to the procedure. I was well cared for on the day of the surgery, and I felt comfortable going into it. The after care was as expected and I recovered without issues or concerns. The follow-up consultations are well coordinated and I continue to remain informed about my recovery. He continues to remain connected with my recovery and is keeping my optician informed so that I have a coordinated and continuous aftercare.
