There is a barrier in front of the Titanic Dock where you can stand behind it. The workers see this dock every day, they don't care how important this dock is for us tourists. (Original) Wir als Touristen sind mit der Hoffnung angekommen um uns den Titanic Dock hafen anzusehen. Leider Vergebens als ausrede kommt der Satz: das ist Privatgelände, und es wäre ganz Gefährlich sich dort aufzuhalten. Scheinbar nicht, wenn dort andere Schiffe andocken und die anderen Passagiere das Titanic Dock bewundern dürfen uns wir als Touristen werden abgewiesen. Das ist so unakzeptabel. Dabei ist vor dem Titanic Dock eine Absperung wo man sich dahinter stellen kann. Die Arbeiter sehen dieses Dock ja Tag Täglich, denen ist das ja egal wie wichtig dieses Dock für uns Touristen ist.

We travelled to Southampton by coach. Arrived around 1pm. Our boarding time was 3.45pm. We asked if we could wait inside but was told no. We had to stand outside until we were called forward at 3.15pm. So 2 pensioners had to stand outside without any seating or toilets for over 2 hours. We didn't want to push in and board early. But the terminal has loads of seating inside that no one could use. Appalling

Once in the dock area, it's reasonably easy to find and there's people on hand to guide you to the right area. The roads surrounding the docks are busy when the ship's leaving, so if allow an extra 20 to 30 minutes to get there in good time.
