What the other reviewer says is correct. I had an assessment with Dr Martin Strudley and he didn't listen to a word I said but just typed away on his laptop while I tried in vain to explain my health issues. He seemed to have already written the report before I even arrived and of course gave my employer exactly what they had asked for. Dr Strudley isn't independent and it's clear he works for the employer NOT the employee. This caused lots of trouble between me and my employer who mistakenly thought his report was accurate. My GP couldn't believe what he put in the report. Despite what Occupational Medicals say they don't have a complaints policy - check their website and none exists - and they don't have a compliance officer.

Occupational Medicals is owned and managed by Dr Martin Strudley who has made a lot of money acting for large employers such as Guildford Borough Council. Dr Strudley has an ability to lull you into a false sense of security and during an assessment he gives you assurances that he is working in your (the employees) best interests - he is not. He works for the employer and writes reports which bear no resemblance to what he says during the assessment. He then refuses to alter his false and biased reports, which the employer is delighted with. He also carries out assessments without first obtaining consent. The best advice is refuse to see Martin Strudley - ask to see someone who is independant and doesn't work for Occupational Medicals
