Although set in a beautiful environment I was disappointed with the afternoon tea. We had a group booking for 7 of which one of our party had special dietary requirements. The booking was for 2pm and despite there being two waiting staff and no more people than 3 other tables being waited on we had to wait an hour before food was bought to our table. The party member with a dairy free requirement received some sandwiches with some sort of spread one of which included a pickle sandwich. The offering was replaced by something more suitable. Generally the sandwiches were dry, the cakes were okay but seemed that they had been defrosted for the occasion. The scones however, were lovely. There was no offer of more tea which we had to request. The waiting staff did their best but they were up against it having to serve food which was not great quality. Many of our party were from a First Class hospitality background and know what to expect from a hotel of this standard. Apparently food has been excellent here in the past - unfortunately not on this occasion. Imagine then having to pay a 12% service charge which I do not begrudge the waiting staff but the offering was not reflective of a pleasant afternoon tea

We had some difficulties booking our spa treatments which were included in our deal. However the management of this was handled very well and we received a lovely upgrade to our room and our main meal was fully covered by the hotel. Staff were great particularly the restaurant staff where the food was delicious 😋 Rooms: We were allocated room 2114 a suite the room was spacious and well decorated. The bed was comfy and the air-conditioning good. Whilst the shower was lovely it would have been nice to have bubble bath provided for the luxury bath. The stand alone fridge sat on the carpet was a rather odd feature 🤔

Great location, ample parking and good service and rooms are clean, spacious and the shower was amazing to use. The bar staff were very accommodating and kept open until late for us. Overall, the atmosphere of the hotel is great and it has tons of space. The location is rural and the entrance is grand as you have a lengthy drive with nature views on both sides. Attended for a friends wedding and they were very accommodating, the entire service and evening party went extremely well. Certainly recommend to stay here. Disappointed I couldn't have the breakfast which was part of my booking as this ended by 9.30am and this was annoying as the reception staff didn't mention the times at point of check in. Rooms: Good size rooms, all usual amenities provided. Pricing is a little high however, overall, positive stay. The breakfast ended too early and missed out on having this.
