Long wait times and poor communication in radiology. Had my appointment moved twice (second time by 4 weeks). I was advised (after calling twice due to not receiving a call back originally), it was due to annual leave but 2 months for an MRI at a private clinic isn’t ideal. I would have gone to a different hospital if I’d have known in the outset. Edit: Received a 3rd letter in the post to say my MRI has been rescheduled AGAIN, pushed back by another 6 weeks. As nobody at this hospital wants to communicate directly with patients, they sent it in the post on the bank holiday so I’ve had less than 48 hours notice. It’s a total shambles of an organisation, I’ll be asking my health insurance to refer me to a different hospital, as I have just been left in pain for 4 months. Avoid at all costs.

I have recently been for breast reduction surgery at Oaklands hospital and everything went brilliantly. My surgeon Dr.Jeevan is great. Very kind and attentive, he has done an amazing job and literally changed my life for the better. I can't thank him enough for making me feel like a new woman. I went from a 38K to a 38C and the results are even better that I imagined so if you are looking for a surgeon I would definitely recommend Dr.Jeevan he's the best. Thank you again.

What great service I got all the staff was excellent. I had rotor cuff repair yesterday and was supposed to go in at 12 but they got me in for 09.00. The surgical team was brilliant. Thanks all at Oaklands for the great service 😀

Update: I contacted the email address that is suggested in all the review responses and all they did was give me a time series of events, not addressing any of the issues at all. Response via email was consistent with the poor service experienced when calling/attending the hospital. Steer clear if possible. Hands down the worst private hospital experience I’ve ever had. Referred by private doctor for an mri, yet oaklands couldn’t see me for weeks. Process was delayed because it turned out I also needed an X-ray. The issue was not only the time I had to wait for the appointment, but they say it can take 3 weeks to get results. The 3 appointments I had with them they were all late. Today my appointment was at 6:30 and was still waiting at 7:00. It’s difficult to get through to them on the phone, and the different departments clearly don’t talk to each other. I was going to cancel and go with another hospital due to the long quoted results times but they called and ensured me my results would be sent in a week, on the way out from the scan they advised it would be three weeks. The person on the phone clearly lied to make sure I didn’t go elsewhere. They advised they normally have a mirror so it doesn’t feel too tight in the machine, but they couldn’t find it..

I am so unbelievably sick to the back teeth with this hospital!! Got referred to this shambles of a place almost 2 years ago from Trafford General. Since I have been referred here it's been nothing short of a bad joke! Had to have steroid injections in my feet due to arthritis, told I will be seen at 7:30am and to arrive for 7 to check in and things was made to wait until late afternoon because the surgeon was apparently running late, when I complained about this after waiting 4 hours they put me in a room with a chair gave me a blanket and left me there for another 2 hours alone! Finally had the procedure done almost 9 hours after I arrived! Appointments are a joke, checked in for my follow up, told by the front desk I was all signed in and to go in the lift up a floor. Went up and sat down and numerous people went in with my doc before me. I got up after an hour and 20 mins to be told I had not checked in and I now had a DNA. This has happened multiple times! Everytime I go I finally get seen its always, xray, MRI scan then CT scan and repeat. The final straw was I had a telephone app booked in, waiting for the call, it never came. Phone half an hour after was on hold for 1 hour for the messege to change to say all the administrative staff have finished and to call back during office times. I phoned the next day to be told the doctor must of thought it was a face to face and that now I have to wait until May for MRI results even though its not my fault!! It's a joke I don't care that I don't pay and that I'm NHS this place is supposed to be a professional place which it certainly is not!

Post op 1/2/23 Gall bladder removal. Lovely experience! As an NHS patient referred here the staff from housekeeper, nurse, band 2/3 and surgical team were amazing. However my post op nurse was not very sympathetic or bothered I was post op and in pain and made my feel like I was lying about my pain! The band 2 or 3 gentleman comforted me while I think my nurse was eating crisp while I was crying! Anyway back to the positives! Lovely private clean room, caring staff and I was kept informed of what was happening around me. Thank you
