Disgraceful and very poorly managed ..a suicidal young lady with mental health problems is being kicked out because ( they say ) she isnt interacting with them properly!!! ...SHES ONLY BEEN THERE 4 DAYS ??!!! ...she overdosed twice last week and they are kicking her out onto the streets as she's homeless !...... absolutely disgusting treatment...

Somebody close to me was recently admitted to this Centre, and I have to say I was extremely impressed by the level of care the staff gave. They are all very busy , looking after quite a number of very ill patients, but there is no sense of there being undue pressure on the staff, and it certainly feels very welcoming and calm when you visit.All of the staff are very compassionate , friendly and helpful, and they take some of the patients out in groups for walks around the beautiful grounds, visits to local shops, beaches and Chichester Marina.The Centre is in a lovely rural location, in the grounds of Graylingwell Park. The facilities are excellent , and my family member said one of the highlights of the day is the mealtimes , such is the quality of the food. Whenever I took them out for a walk for a few hours , they were always mindful of getting back on time for mealtimes , they didn't want to miss out ! I can honestly say, that in my opinion, even if you went Private, you wouldn't be able to find better Mental Health care and rehabilitation anywhere better than Oaklands. We are very fortunate to have such a great facility, right on our doorstep, it is much needed, and highly valued. Please make sure the staff receive the recognition they richly deserve. Mike Dawson
