Really enjoyed my first visit to Oakland Waters. I turned up at 0730 on a weekday and had plenty of pegs to choose from. I chose the Horseshoe lake and caught lots of Bream and three very nice Carp. Loads of bites until I left at around 3pm. Very good atmosphere with other anglers. The owner Steve was on hand to offer advice on what equipment worked best - as I’m new to the sport. The site has a bait shop and a toilet and parking not far from the pegs. Will definitely go back and would recommend Oakland to anyone who wants a relaxing day fishing.

Fishing is excellent on the 3 mixed course ponds. Excellent value for money at £7 a day. The access is excellent to the well kept pegs on hard standing. There are ladies and gents toilets on site both of which have been recently fully refurbished and are now 5 star. There is also a very well stocked bait and accessories shop on site. There is a cafe that is open at weekends for preferably prebooked breakfasts and sandwiches. The gates open at 7am and close at 9pm give it a try you won't find any better fishing.
