A very busy place. The staff was very helpful and sorting a sim contract out for me they explained all my options and helping me to work out what was best for me. I was very grateful for all the help and they gave a lot of time on helping me. I left the shop feeling good and Very satisfied with the brilliant experience I received from the shop assistant.

We called in to change a phone contract and get advice on a damaged screen and enjoyed really excellent customer service from Shelley - nothing was too much trouble. He talked us through various options and pointed out features of O2 accounts that we were unaware of. He was polite, friendly, helpful and made what we thought might be a stressful process very straight forward.

Worst service I have ever received in York. About 5 months ago I went with my mother to buy a cell phone, we don't speak English and I need to use the translator on my cell phone. The two attendants were so careless, they barely made a point of us, I felt a little xenophobic on their part due to the fact that my mother and I did not speak English. They barely wanted to show us the devices. But we still bought it because my mother wanted that cell phone. Okay, after paying we asked to open the box to see the device and the attendant was so disgusted with what she was doing, it seemed like she didn't want us there. My mother and I were very uncomfortable and so we spoke in Portuguese (our native language) expressed how sad we were with the service and left. Well, yesterday I returned to the store to say that the cell phone had broken and I was answered by a SUPER EDUCATED guy who explained to me that I could take the cell phone to the store today to possibly have it repaired. Today when my mother and I returned, the girl who assisted us 5 months ago was there. I explained the cell phone problem to another gentleman who was there and he was solving it with us, he explained that the repair would be expensive but he was being polite to us. Until the girl called this gentleman into a room as if she were going to gossip (probably to say that we were there already 5 months ago) When they returned from the room, it was no longer the gentleman who spoke to us, but the girl . She spoke into the translator on my cell phone. “Do you remember that you were here with your mother and were rude to my employee? You left here speaking in another language.” Our! I was stunned by her audacity. I replied in the translator and said that we were not rude, we felt badly treated by her and her employee. And then she spoke again into the translator. “We weren't rude, you were and you left speaking in another language, and that's why we won't fix your cell phone.” I AM STILL SHOCKED BY THIS. I've never seen that before in my entire life. I'm not one to come to Google to leave comments, but I needed to vent about this because it was so sad. I asked the attendant's name but I can't remember how to spell it. I just know that I never want to walk into the O2 store again. And I hope she sees this comment and knows how much I felt her prejudice for the fact that I don't speak English.

I urgently needed a new phone, at the weekend and away from home. The staff had one up and running for me in about 30 minutes, which was a relief. No hard sell, just great customer service.
