    1. Booked a 4 bed private room with shared bathroom here since it was considerably cheaper compared to other hostels in London (around 35-40%) and was skeptical reading the reviews 2. Checked in around 10 PM on a Friday evening and I should the day the hostel surroundings are a bit shady. Not recommended for solo travellers. 3. Check in was smooth, the guy was helpful and gave 10 pounds for key deposit 4. Stairs to the room were very narrow and it’s difficult to get the luggage upstairs. Looking at the cleanliness and the overall scene while taking the stairs, we felt not that comfortable 5. But the rooms were nice to our surprise. I would say nice for the price you pay. Good bed and enough space. There were a couple of toilet-bathroom in every floor and were clean and okay. 6. We didn’t have breakfast from the hostel even though it’s included since we found it not that comfortable - busy and not that clean. But yeah, we made a few cups of tea I would recommend this hostel if you are on a tighter budget. We left room early morning to explore London and came back very late so didn’t spend much time in the room. (Which should be the case with most travellers). Overall, you get what you pay for.

    Stayed here with a group of women and were yelled at immediately upon arrival by a belligerent man for all trying to stand in the lobby with our backpacks (?). He demanded ID before even letting us through the door, ran around erratically, generally scary vibes. Lots of other sketchy/unclean stuff too. Avoid!!

    Owen should learn a thing or two about human decency. He's a cheap rat who keeps cutting costs everywhere, being rude to customers and getting into fights. The owner of the place is also pretty deluded, cuz he believes the staff need to be rude and obnoxious for the place to run well. Edit: i wouldn't slander if I didn't experience terrible behaviour. The fact that you refuse to acknowledge so many bad reviews and blame the residents shows the terrible attitude of the owners and caretakers.
