Absolutely awful! It doesn’t even deserve a one star! One of the staff is exceptionally rude (Nando) he’s very intimidating and disrespectful particularly to women! The swim school for the children is so so disorganised! Absolutely shocking! I’ve had 5 lessons cancelled in a row, constantly trying to change lesson tines and days and their communication is shocking! They have also closed two out of three jacuzzis because energy ratings went up and left on the coldest jacuzzi and still charging people full price for membership. Avoid at all costs!!!

closed their heated hot tubs to save money on bills due to the energy crisis then increased membership fees after reducing the service

This gym is vastly overpriced for what is on offer. The gym floor is unbearably hot and I now barely ever go even though I’m locked into a contact until December. Want to know if they are planning on fixing/putting on the air con. Otherwise I wouldn’t recommend. The swimming pool is always too busy and not very clean around there and the changing rooms. It’s not what I expect from an expensive gym. I was at Graves before which is nearly half the price but much, much better.

Slowly going down hill. Carpark barriers don't work so all the locals/football fans are using the spaces & I’m finding it difficult to park up! Hot jacuzzis now closed, as a result saunas are often full with loud voices, cannot relax in this atmosphere. Swimming dominated by children’s lessons hence other 2 lanes full esp. with slower swimmers & water feels chilly. Gym equipment good, well kept but the whole place lacks atmosphere & I’ve never met so many glum people working out! Sometimes gym is packed given new year subscriptions but generally ok. Staff friendly but don’t see them much other than in passing. Never seen them workout there… Overall too expensive now some facilities have gone, so I feel like I’m subsidising others in the gym for classes & pool, hence looking elsewhere for better personal value.

Run by woke muppets who have switched the hot tubs off indefinitely to virtue signal about the climate change hoax. Not a single brain cell on active duty with anyone in a position of management in that place. Would give zero. But unfortunately not possible. Edit: now also turned sauna off indefinitely. Muppets

Have previously been a member of another branch of Nuffield which was a fantastic experience. This one though is not as good. I mainly use the pool, as advised, came on board for a membership with a 14 day free cancellation policy. Pool is not great, always overcrowded. In theory, there are a few lanes open, but practically, everyone gets crowded into 2 or 1 lane. In the 30 min i used the pool, was asked to move lane twice to accomodate classes. Anyways, i cut my losses and opted out in 3 days. They however have not refunded my money yet, been 2 months, sent chaser #4 today.

The staff are outstanding, though grossly underpaid. The Sheffield gym is spotlessly maintained by the cleaning staff. The equipment is very good but not perfect. There are far too many bikes, and not enough barbells, available. The function room contains vital equipment that is unavailable most lunchtimes because the club holds two mother and baby sessions in there, four days a week. Lanes in the (short) swimming pool are often blocked off for aqua classes (scheduled) and also swimming lessons for members and children at random times. The latter cannot be predicted because it is impossible to tell from home whether or not lanes are closed. We arrive only to find the pool unusable. At least, on a positive note, the parking problems have become a thing of the past, due to barriers being made operational and exit codes enforced. There are concessionary rates for elderly members, but forget them. The concession is only on full membership, not on off-peak, so you are better off going for off peak instead, it is busy enough then. Doubt if you would squeeze in at peak times. It isn't open 24/7.
