I had a referral from my GP and have tried to make an appointment via a consultant's PA - Rachel Roberts - telephoned twice and left messages on voice mail - I emailed this same person twice - no response not even an acknowledgement. Absolute disgraceful service considering you are paying for private health care. I have to refer back to my insurance company to obtain an alternative consultant. Will complain to CQC.

First class. I had a 360 health check here. It was excellent. Really efficient. The main thing was the staff. They were clearly interested and knowledgeable. As I said at the start, First class.

Useless referral system. On 2 separate occasions I have attempted to book in for assessment within the last 18 months. 1. My GP sent a referral, I chased and chased but never heard back. They reportedly never receieved the referral which is untrue. It was sent to the correct email- we've all checked. 2. I've emailed specific nurse (you can't call to book an appointment for some reason unknown to myself) that was over a week ago and I've not heard back. It's a condition that is potentially life threatening, and sitting and waiting around for people to reply is infuriating. I've called Nuffield Taunton and booked an appointment for this week within 5 minutes. Don't bother with Exeter for females Gynae assessment. Terrible service

I saw 3 other surgeons locally before I had a consultation with Prof Timperley for my hip replacement. I was used to being in theatre not on the table so I was extremely concerned about major surgery. I knew immediately that Prof Timperley was the surgeon for me and I travelled from Coventry to Exeter for my pre op and my operation. Prof Timperley is like no other, a man of integrity, expertise, a true professional who is clearly passionate, committed and has dedicated a lifetime to his profession with precision. His demeanour is patient perfect he is transparent and kind and he transformed my life which I know he has done for many others. At 70 years of age and almost ending up on permanent bed rest, I now feel like a new woman. Recovery was quick with the MAKO robot technique and my local Drs and physio were stunned at my no complication, rapid recovery. I highly commend and recommend Prof. Timperley. I also praise the anaesthetist who scared me to death with the risks but who was then extremely comforting and re-assuring both before and after the procedure. A massive thanks also to a particular nurse called Kat. I had no problems with the admin or the hospital and would not hesitate to return should the situation arise.
