Hospital bed and various other equipment supplied for my terminally ill son to his house in Whitstable. He sadly passed away on 17th. May. His wife informed the company on the 18th. May of this. Collection of equipment is NOT until 6th. June. Absolutely insensitive delay for bereaved relatives to have such a long wait, NO thought what so ever. The N.R.S. van was seen in the adjacent road a few days after my daughter in law had contacted the company to collect. The logistics of collecting NEED to be looked into. Lack of empathy from N.R.S.

Whilst the equipment came quickly, it was not easy to get it Collected at all. We were told we had to keep all of the large equipment including a hospital bed in the house/living room for a month before it could be collected. Which is beyond ridiculous. The emotional distress caused by having to look at a bed that your family member died in, is cruel. This company should work on it’s logistics. And employ more drivers/vans instead of expect people to use their homes for storage.

Have a riser/recliner chair from NRS on Behalf of NHS, got a message 2 weeks ago saying they need to attend to carry out a inspection and service on my chair on Thursday 11th March 2021 and the ridiculous 9 hour appointment window was given. Waited until 4.30 pm and called them as being I’m diabetic and needed my evening meal, the lady said she would contact the engineer and after a few minutes came back and said he had attended and there was no answer ? Rubbish I have a monitor by my chair and when the doorbell is rung I can see who the visitor is and talk to them and even let them in, then she said that he also left a card through the door? She said that she can track the vehicles movements but refused to tell me her findings of tracking the vehicle and she would make a fresh appointment where i requested a am or pm appointment to which she said that she couldn’t make that decision. Here we are nearly 24 hrs later no explanation for wasting my day yesterday and no fresh appointment, so I presume it’s being pushed under the carpet ? Will also contact NHS to show the kind of service they are paying for.

Tis company is unfit to trade with the NHS. Original staff provided the wrong bed for my father. Brought the wrong extension when the next person came out a week later to make it bigger. The next person did fit it and was a light of hope for the company. When my father died we called to have the bed collected, a very insensitive member of staff refused to try and arrange any collection before 7 days time. The mental stress on my mother this has caused at this time is totally unnessessary. At least the staff member said we could dismantle it ourselves and put it on the drive to be collected. So it has been dismantled by amateurs and left outside in the elements unprotected from passers by - this company must be making so much money off the NHS to allow this to happen and allow their staff can be rude and insensitive.

The team at NRS were great at getting the bed and equipment to us to help look after my mother. Unfortunately after the inevitable happened my father is still waiting over 14 days for the bed to be collected. He's lucky we had a garage to put the bed into otherwise he would have had that bed in his living room, which isn't very nice. NTS haven't even bothered to call to tell him they weren't collecting the bed when they promised. Very sad thing to deal with through some difficult times.
