Wow what a fantastic experience , the whole day with the man himself in his own home sharing his cookery tips. He was amazing, he and his team are so talented , I loved every minute. I loved hearing all the stories about the chefs he has worked with , just magical. We got to meet his wife and sons, they were lovely. Jean cooked us an amazing lunch and we were taught how to prepare several dishes including a fish course, tarte tatin and pasta 😁 10.30- 17.00 so a full on day but it flew by. I will be rebooking on another course for sure.

What a fantastic experience. Jean aka Raymond aka Jean Michel Jarre was a brilliant host including his helpers. Incredibly patient and humble and some great skills learnt on the course. The meal was excellent as was his stories which added real entertainment. Can't recommend highly enough what a down to earth team, would love to go again.

I had an amazing day doing the Masterclass with Jean-Christophe Novelli. A warm welcome greeted us and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere continued throughout the day. A mix of demonstrations and tuition with great interaction with Jean-Christophe, chefs and staff. New techniques learnt and great food tasted with a lovely meal, champagne, wine and anecdotes to end a very memorable day. To Jean-Christophe and all your team, so many thanks. I highly recommend.

I went on the cooking master class early March. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional. The day was amazing with Jean-Chrostophe, Patti, Felice and Joanna being excellent chefs with great knowledge and highly interactive. It was a very fun and insightful day! I would highly recommend to anyone and I will be back there for further cooking classes.

I was fortunate enough to be invited along to a cookery day by my daughter Claire, I was thoroughly looking forward to it and unfortunately we managed to arrive a little late due to traffic and getting lost, still met with a very warm welcome and coffee. The kitchen is lovely and beautifully set out. Jean Christopher is a joy, funny, very knowledgeable, informative really helpful. All the staff are so efficient and Patti very funny it was hands on and along with the food we had made we were treated to some amazing food. Great atmosphere absolutely loved every bit of the day! Thank you all ! Special thank you of course to Jean Christophe !

On the plus side, I think this would be a great place to go if you are new to cooking, very nervous and have a sweet tooth. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the room is cosy. I've not laughed so much in one day for a long time. It's probably worth going once just to see the inter-play between Jean-Christophe and his chef-tutor. Entertainingly, the demo stove is back to front, so the chef can't control the gas or see the ovens, which on our day led to a hilariously disastrous souffle. Things that didn't work quite so well: - After the welcome biscuit at 10:30, we had nothing to eat until a snatched slice of bread about 2pm and the a meal at about 3pm. - We stood still for a couple of hours watching the first demo, which is really tiring - in fact we weren't offered seats at all until halfway through the meal. - The course is sold as "hands-on", but all most of us got to do was half-knead a bread dough. - There is no recipe book provided at the start, so no easy way of making notes against the recipes you are shown (apparently they will be emailed out later). - The organisation was chaotic, with lots of shouting through to a back room (although this was great entertainment). - Almost everything in the three course meal had added sugar - which doesn't suit a savoury palette. Personally, I wouldn't go back, because I want to do a lot of hands-on cooking. Even if the organisation was really slick, the room simply wouldn't allow much actual cooking as there is only one stove and one sink. It wasn't for me, but it might be for you.
